ATLANTA - The 12th anniversary
of the Million Man March and the Holy Day of Atonement will be
celebrated on October 16, 2007 with a special message by the
Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan at the Atlanta Civic Center. The
Holy Day of Atonement is the annual celebration commemorating the
historic Million Man March which took place in Washington, DC in
1995.
“The Minister had a bout with
prostate cancer and it is hard to believe that just 10 months ago he
was having a 14 hour surgery. The prayers from so many went up to a
mighty God from all across the world. Minister Farrakhan is alive
today because of those prayers and a mighty God,” said Minister
Farrakhan’s assistant, Ishmael Muhammad at a recent press
conference.
“I want to thank the city of
Atlanta for welcoming us,” said Mr. Muhammad. “After Minister
Farrakhan visits the city, he will leave a positive energy and
something to build on. He will offer words and guidance on
principles of atonement.”
The address by Minister
Farrakhan will wrap up four days of activities, including a
Walk-For-Life sponsored by the Louis Farrakhan Prostate Cancer
Foundation, as well as meetings with religious, political and
business leaders of the Atlanta metropolitan area.
Minister Farrakhan’s
address will be broadcast live via satellite in over 120 cities
throughout America and locations worldwide.
